Social Media Day Know Hows

Social Media Day is June 30th and hopefully you plan to attend one of the GTs around the globe – one of the larger one’s being organized in part by us in Antwerp.

These “get togethers” range from informal pub meet-ups to more structured events such as the one in Antwerp where Olivier Blanchard will be the keynote speaker, presenting a workshop.

You can easily check the agenda of Social Media Day in Antwerp, but what’s your agenda? Do you have one? What do you want to get out of Social Media Day?

I’ve been pondering what questions I might bring up at Social Media Day in Antwerp (provided the opportunity was presented) and I’ve concluded the word “how” would come up a lot – an awful lot.

They might be good conversation starters about social media in general and so I thought I’d share my musings with you here.

  • How others are leveraging social media to meet their goals?
  • How companies are improving customer service using social media?
  • How are they integrating social media with CS so that it is the access point to a consistently positive experience?
  • How are they integrating social monitoring with eCRM to distribute information through the entire organization?
  • How has social media improved the flow of information in their organization?
  • How is social media changing the culture of their corporation?
  • How much impact has it had on silos – are they coming down?
  • How are they structuring social media in their company?
  • How much understanding and comfort do they have operating in the new multi-channel world?
  • How do they see social media impacting business and life in general in the future?

And most importantly:

  • How has social media changed your world?
